Teresa's question 5

...I think is pretty important.  And I think one can say it is a common thread for a lot of what we read this week.  The Disneys of the world may be commodifying ideas and hammering them into artificially naturalized myths, etc...but don't these become merely the syntax of contemporary culture?  We can gnash our teeth at the legacy of colonialism (and rightfully so), but ultimately the ability to use English language is likely to be an ENORMOUS factor in who wins and loses the serious arguments over, say, globalism and its effects, no?
